TEWKSBURY: Victor M. Camargo, age 88 a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
He was the beloved husband of Marina (Montejo) Camargo, who passed on February 14, 2021.
Born in Bogota, Colombia on January 21, 1934, he was the son of the late Jesus and Rosa Camargo.
He was raised in Colombia and attended local schools.
Prior to his retirement, he worked in Accounting for an Airline in Colombia and worked in a Sporting Goods store as a Retail Manager.
He enjoyed traveling to different places, like Spain, London, Germany, Hawaii and Mexico. Most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his two grandsons, Shaun and Michael. He enjoyed watching baseball and soccer.
Victor was the father of Jeanne Bono, of Tewksbury and the late Sandra Camargo. He leaves two grandchildren, Michael Bono and Shaun Conley: his sisters, Rosa Camargo, Sara Camargo, Elizabeth Camargo and Juliana Camargo: his brother, Narsico Camargo: also many extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to his Memorial Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 17th at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation, www.alzfdn.org or Autism Speaks, www.autismspeaks.org
