Roger A. Monteiro, 55, of Fremont, CA formerly of New Bedford, MA, died October 10, 2022.
Born in New Bedford he was the son of the late Willard Monteiro II and Shirley Ann (Guimont) Monteiro.
Roger was a mentor to recovering drug addicts and played a big role at Delancy Street. He loved to volunteer and help feed the homeless. Roger was active in his church community. He loved his family and friends very much.
Roger served proudly in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his children, James and his wife Jaime, Jamie, Tyson, Tiffany, and Christian; his grandchildren, Jaylynn, Journey, Jayce, Jolie, Lina, Matthias and Kaleb; his siblings Deanne and her husband Camanche, Cathy, Christina and Woody and his wife Melissa; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is predeceased by his son Little Roger, and his granddaughter Angel.
Roger's memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11th from 2-4PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
