Norman C. Lacroix, 103, Fairhaven, formerly of New Bedford passed away Tuesday December 6, 2022 peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Irene A. (Depault) Lacroix.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Wilfrid and Leona (Ferron) Lacroix, he lived in New Bedford most of his life, before moving to Alden Court in 2016.
Mr. Lacroix was formerly employed as an office manager and cost accountant for Loranger Construction until his retirement. He later was the general manager for Hot Wheels Roller Rink for several years.
He was a communicant of the former St. Mary's Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for more than 30 years.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He was a former member of the Serra Club and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his son, Daniel W. Lacroix, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Gloria Medeiros.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday December 12th at 11 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday December 11th from 5-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
