George G. Kane
1949 – 2022
George G. Kane, age 73, passed away on December 5, 2022 at the Mont Marie Rehab and Health Care Center. He was born on February 17, 1949 in Springfield, a son of the late Edward B. and Anna T. (Begley) Kane. George served in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam era. He was a graduate of Westfield State, Springfield Technical Community College and Western New England College. He was a Civil War and Spanish American War enthusiast. George worked as an accountant most of his life. He Ran his own accounting firm for many years before he retired. He is survived by his brother Edward Kane and his wife Paulette of Chicopee; his nephew, Christopher Kane and his wife Sara along with their son Ryan; two cousins, Mary Hartpence and Patricia Greene along with many friends who will miss him. He is predeceased by his niece Carleen Kane. A Memorial Service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.
