NEWPORT, RI… Rosa M. Gonzalez Torres, 94, of Newport passed away December 2, 2022, at Newport Hospital.
She was the loving wife of the late Augustin Gandulla.
Born in Aguada, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Augustin Gonzalez and Ramona Torres. She moved to Massachusetts in 2018 prior to moving to Rhode Island.
Mrs. Gonzalez Torres spent her life caring for her family. She was a devoted member of the United Family in Christ Church and enjoyed singing, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children: Awilda Sosa of Puerto Rico, Sonia Del Rio of Newport and Augustin Gandulla of Newport; a sister; 2 brothers; 9 grandchildren; along with many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, December 8th 2022, at 11 AM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA 02723. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9 to 11 AM, prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
