Anthony S. Ranzino Sr. peacefully passed away on Nov 30th at the age of 79 at his home in Medford after a brief, but courageous battle of pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Anthony (Tony) (Randall), was employed at the Boston Globe as a Pressman, then continued his career to work for Avery Dennison in Framingham as a Photo Engraver and he finished his career before retirement as a Court Officer at the Woburn District Court.
Anthony was a star softball pitcher in his day at the leagues in the North End of Boston. He was a talented guitar player and singer which he truly enjoyed entertaining his family, friends and all that would listen. His most favorite days were riding his motorcycle and feeling the breeze on his face and enjoying rides to the beach.
Anthony was the husband of the late Alba Rose Bruno Ranzino. Devoted father to Julie Ranzino Devito and her husband John of Stoneham, MA, and his son Anthony Ranzino Jr with his wife Rhonda of Pelham, NH. Loving grandfather of Justin Howard and his girlfriend Alana Zucco, Janelle Howard , Logan and Kahlen Palumbo. Dearest brother to Aileen Kordas and her late husband Stanley Kordas and late brother Eugene Ranzino. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great niece.
A Mass with be held on December 12th, 2022 in celebration of life of Anthony at St. Joseph’s Parish 118 High St, Medford, MA at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Dana Farber or your charity of choice.
