WOODSTOCK, CT - Thomas F. “Tom” Hoard, 66, died Sunday, December 4, 2022 at home after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Kimberly D. (Meyer) Hoard; a daughter, Jamie A. Lehtola and her husband Brian of Webster; 2 grandchildren, Anna and Korie Lehtola; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister Donna Uribe.
He was born on January 29, 1956 in Woonsocket, RI, the son of Gardner and Lorraine (Rouselle) Hoard and graduated from Woonsocket High School where he played on the varsity baseball team as a pitcher.
Mr. Hoard was a manager at Hard-Line Heat-Treating Company in Southbridge, MA before retiring in 2020.
He enjoyed all sports and was a fan of the New York Mets and the New England Patriots.
His funeral will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, December 9, in the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, MA. Burial will be in North Cemetery, Oxford. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 8, in the funeral home.
