Magdalene N. Fotiades, 81 of Worcester, passed away Wednesday, November 30th in UMass Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She leaves a sister, Maria Alekshun of Oakville, CT; a nephew, Dr. Todd Alekshun; great nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was predeceased by a nephew, Dr. Michael Alekshun.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Nicholas and Ann (Lisauskas) Fotiades. Magdalene graduated from Commerce High School. She worked at Astra Pharmaceuticals for 10 years and then worked at UMass Memorial Hospital until retirement in 2015. Magdalene enjoyed vacationing with family, especially during the summertime. She was an avid reader and loved watching the Boston Red Sox. She will be missed.
There are no services. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
