Robert R.” Bob” Remillard, 82, formerly of Newland Ave. Woonsocket, died Sunday October 30, 2022 at Mt. St Rita Health Care Center in Cumberland.
Born and raised in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Ovide and Helena (McDougall) Remillard. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Bob was an employee of Woonsocket Hospital/Landmark Medical Center for over 45 years. Among the positions he held at the hospital were operating room technician.
Bob was deeply dedicated to his work at the hospital. It can be said with absolute certainty that for Bob his career at the hospital was not only his life’s work, but it was truly his calling. He cared for each and every person he came in contact with. Bob saw it as his mission to use all of his abilities to provide them with the best service and care possible. Bob could often be found around the hospital even on his days off, and yes he was a steady customer of the hospital cafeteria.
Outside of work Bob liked to enjoy life through his upbeat and cheerful demeanor.
Bob is survived by several close friends who were like family to him. Bob would be also proud to say that he is survived by everyone at Landmark Medical Center. They really were Bob’s family.
A committal prayer service for Bob will be Friday December 2, 2022 at 11:00 at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Everyone who knew Bob is welcome to attend.
