Peter J. Rahn, 81, of Manchester, NH, died Monday, November 28, 2022 in the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. He was born in Manchester, NH on May 31, 1941, a son of the late Edward and Janet (McMillan) Rahn. Peter had been a resident of Manchester for several years, formerly living in Auburn, NH for many years. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Peter had been employed in the banking industry for most of his career, starting with Indian Head Bank and staying through their acquisitions. Following retirement, he worked for the Manchester - Boston Regional Airport in Hospitality. While growing up, he enjoyed spending time at camp on Lake Winnipesaukee. Peter also enjoyed walks around Auburn with his dog "Pookie".
He is survived by his wife, Katherine (Cail) Rahn of Manchester; his son, Devin Rahn and his wife Lindsay of Oakland, FL; two grandchildren, Beckett Rahn, and Emerson Rahn; his brother, Richard Rahn of New York, NY; his sister, Patricia DeGrandpre of Exeter, NH; as well as his best friend since childhood, Spencer Levesque of Australia. He was predeceased by his son, Casey Rahn in 2000.
Following cremation, he will be buried in the Spring next to his son in the Auburn Village Cemetery in Auburn. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
