David Allen Badgley, 54, of Chesterfield died November 28, 2022 at his residence.
David was born September 4, 1968, in Anderson, to Michael Ray and Beverly Lynn (Fraser) Badgley. He was a 1987 Highland High School graduate and an avid guitarist, who loved heavy metal. He served his country proudly in the Indiana National Guard and from that point he started his career in construction. He achieved a level of master carpenter while bringing beauty and life to many restored homes. David professed a deep love of God and attended Trinity Episcopal Church. He was an outdoor enthusiast, who enjoyed visiting the mountains, hiking, fishing, and spending time with his pets. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them deeply.
He is survived by his parents, Michael Ray and Beverly Badgley of Chesterfield; his wife, Michelle (McClurg) Badgley of Anderson; his children, Dara Lynn Badgley of Tennessee, Spencer (Macie) Badgley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rachel Badgley of Tennessee, Tyler Badgley of Daleville, David Badgley of Anderson, stepson, Josh (Courtney) Meeks of Hagerstown; brother, Christopher "Michael" (Sarah) Badgley of Anderson; two grandchildren, Oliver Badgley and Naomi Badgley of Tennessee; two step-grandchildren, Ethan and Ellie Meeks;
six nieces and nephews, Shaiya Badgley, Briyah Badgley, Noah Price, Rachel Price, Abby Price and Nathaniel Badgley; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bishop William Smalley officiating. Burial will follow at Bronnenberg Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 am until the 1 p.m. service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Episcopal Outreach Wednesday Free Lunch.
