Pasquale Asaro, of Somerville, passed away peacefully at Massachusetts General Hospital on Tuesday, November 29th. He was 92. Born in Mazara Del Vallo, Sicily, he was the son of the late Filippo and the late Sebastiana (Bono) Asaro.
Born and raised in Sicily, Pasquale and his family settled in Somerville, MA, in the 1970’s. He enjoyed a long successful career in the clothing industry as a pressman. He loved following soccer and had an incredible sense of humor. Pasquale was a man who was extremely devoted to his family and friends. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones, enjoying food, music, and dancing.
Pasquale was the beloved husband of the late Maria G.(Centamori) Asaro. He was a devoted father to Filippo Asaro and his wife Jennifer of Malden, and Nella Cartolano and her husband Anthony of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Anthony, Abrielle, and Pasquale, dear brother-in-law to Angela Dovidio, and is also survived by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Pasquale’s funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, December 2nd at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Thursday, December 1st from 4 -8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
