Jean Lorraine Isaac, age 79 passed away peacefully Saturday, November 26, 2022 after a long battle with dementia.
Jean was born on November 24, 1943 in Framingham, MA where she grew up and attended Framingham High School. Shortly after graduation she began her 30+ year career as a social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
After her retirement Jean volunteered at UMass Medical Center and also at the mayor’s office in Worcester, MA where she received several keys to the city for her dedicated service. When she wasn’t volunteering she loved to garden, travel, listen to country music, spend time with her family and friends and most of all spoil her grandchildren.
Jean was able to share all of her favorite things with her best friend and partner of over 40 years, John Stepp (deceased).
Jean is survived by her 2 daughters, Paula Isaac of Cumberland, RI and Pamela Lane (Isaac) and her husband John Lane of Franklin, MA. Five grandchildren, Robert Ridenour, Amanda Ridenour, Kassidy Lane, Jonathan Lane and Tyler Lane. Two great-grandsons Gavin & Parker Lanagan. Also surviving are 2 brothers Paul Rabette and Wayne DeLuca.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Friday Dec. 2nd, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 4-7PM.
Her funeral service and interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough, will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
