It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Tammy L. Smith. Tammy L. Smith, 48, of Manchester, NH passed away Sunday November 27, 2022. She was born on February 15, 1974 in Manchester, a daughter of Remi W. “Bill” and Pauline (Guilbert) Fortin.
Tammy was raised in Londonderry, NH and was a graduate of Londonderry High School Class of 1992. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in communications from Southern New Hampshire University. Tammy worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital striving to ensure patients received the best care possible in her role as Patient Experience Administrator. Tammy was kind, gentle, loving, and beautiful inside and out. She had a passion for photography and was extremely talented. She had a special bond with her son Eric, with whom she shared a passion for the color purple, a lack of coordination and a hatred of mornings. She also greatly missed her “adopted daughter” Lily, her late pug. Tammy you are loved beyond measure and will be missed.
In addition to her parents of Londonderry, she is also survived by two sons whom she loved dearly, Eric and Patrick Smith, her sister, Karin Como and her husband Rick, two nephews, Ben and Sam Como, her grandmother, Cecile Fortin as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Friday December 2, 2022 from 9 -11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. In honor of Tammy and Eric’s love for the color purple, everyone is kindly asked to dress in purple. A Funeral service will begin at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of NH, 545 State Rte 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
