Christopher James Kite, 48, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, November 27, 2022, in Harris County, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 5 PM, Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Interment will be private.
Chris was born June 26, 1974, in Tifton, Georgia to the late Patricia Ann Norkus and the late Carey Lewis Kite, Jr. He was a 1993 graduate of Irwin County High School. He attended ABAC and later earned a Bachelors degree. Chris worked in healthcare administration having served at Fitzgerald Nursing Home and Life Care Center and was currently working at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla as Administrator. He enjoyed spending time in the yard and nightly bonfires. He also enjoyed traveling, especially the beach or the mountains. Chris trained others in fitness and he enjoyed antiques. He was a member of Pine Level Lodge #353 F.&A.M.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Renea Kite of Fitzgerald; children: Devin Kite, Zarian Kite, and Aniya Kite; step-children: Justin Braxton & Lyndsay, Brittany Thompson & Donivan, Kimberly Braxton & Kyle Hodgson, and J.T. Burnette; grandchildren: Charles Monk, Waylon Thompson, Destiny Grace Howard, Willow River Hodgson, Brenda Ellis, Harvey Ellis, Zaylee Hodgson, Aubree Hodgson, Maverick Hodgson, and one on the way; and siblings: Debra Kite Keith, Tina Kite Gibbs, Jeffery Kite, Theresa Kite Golzari, Kimberly Kite Sumner, and Stephen Lewis Kite. He will also be greatly missed by his dogs, Duke and Dory.
