HAMPDEN – Debra A. Carson of Hampden, MA would have been 71 in a few months. She was a proud 70 years old when she let go of this world at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. She was also most proud of her two children Joe and Michaela. She was a devoted mother to her children. She leaves behind her husband of 50 years Dr. Samuel P. Carson III who she loved and cared for deeply. Debbie and Sam provided for their family together as co-owners of the Ludlow Animal Clinic. They had just retired and sold the business in January 2020. Debbie was born in Springfield and raised in Longmeadow as one of 6 siblings. She leaves behind three sisters Donna Robertson, Laurie Robertson, and Diane Robertson as well as two brothers John Robertson and Gary Robertson. She will be missed by their significant others Terry, David, Steve, Denise and Heidi. She loved her nieces and nephews Siobhan, Amaranth, Nate, Abe, Brooke, Liam, Nick and Acacia. She was close with her children’s spouses Bonnie and Chuck and talked every day to her granddaughter Fiona. Deb attended Longmeadow High School and went on to Baypath College. She lived in Missouri, Kennebunk, ME, Springfield, Longmeadow and ultimately Hampden, MA. She loved traveling to Cape Cod, Newburyport, Georgetown, California, Minnesota and Austin, TX to visit family. She will be missed by her husband’s siblings Jeff and Laurie as well as their families. She had friends she loved as extended family through her children and her door was always open. Her funeral services will be private. There are no visiting hours.
