Helen (Boutin) Lirosi, 78, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on November 25, 2022.
Helen was born in Quincy, MA to Russell and Marion (Powers) Boutin. She was the sister of the late John Boutin, William Boutin, Anne (Boutin) Marini and Joan (Boutin) Newcomb. She spent her early years in Abington, MA before marrying Raymond Lirosi, Jr. and moving to Whitman, MA, where they established a home that became the loving center of the family they created.
A fiercely devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Helen was known for her unfailing dedication to her family, her boundless generosity, and her inimitable and infectious laugh. She was a bedrock, the matriarch, and an endless source of love and support. Through beautiful moments of celebration, devastating loss, and the rich ordinariness of everyday life, Helen guided her family with courage, dignity, and strength, and showed us all what it means to live with vulnerability, tenacity, and an open heart. She leaves behind a rich legacy that continues to enrich and inspire us every day.
Having survived the loss of her husband, Helen went on to live an active and independent life, enjoying travel, endless projects, and spending time with her family and friends. After successfully raising her children, she embarked on a new career at John Russell Studio, where many of her clients became her closest friends. It was impossible to meet Helen and not be drawn in by her warm and gracious spirit.
She is survived by her son, Raymond Lirosi III, of Lakeville, MA, her daughter, Laurie (Lirosi) Campbell and son-in-law, David, of Whitman, MA, and her daughter-in-law, Robin (Nichols) Lirosi, of Whitman, MA; her grandchildren, Mark Consiglio, Jr and his wife, Amanda, Ashley (Campbell) Erwin and her husband Keith, Katherine (Lirosi) Jenkins and her husband Stephen, Raymond Lirosi IV, and Giovanni Lirosi; her great-grandchildren, Everett, Bella, Lexie, Abby, and Marlowe. Helen also leaves behind her cherished nephew, Mark Marini, and numerous treasured in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends who will all miss her deeply.
In addition to her husband, Helen survived the loss of her beloved son, Christopher Lirosi, and grandson, Vincenzo Lirosi, as well as her sister, Anne (Boutin) Marini. While the hole left behind with Helen’s passing can never be filled, we are comforted by thoughts of the grand reunion that is taking place, and sustained by the love we all shared, that will never end.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Wednesday November 30 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, and her services on Thursday December 1 at 9:45 AM from the Chapel followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the Holy Ghost Church. Burial will be in the Colebrook Cemetery.
