Sharon C. Taylor, 57, of Franklin, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 21, 2022 at her home. She was the beloved wife of John “Jay” E. Taylor since 2005 and loving mother of Charlie J. Taylor.
Born in Melrose on March 13, 1965, she was the daughter of Robert J. Currie of Little River, South Carolina, formerly of Stoughton, MA and the late Jean (O’Connor) Currie.
Her survivors also include her sister Clare Pearson and her husband Matt of Plymouth, her brother Robert Currie and his wife Alison of Medfield, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Jean Taylor of Norwood, her brother-in-law Robert Taylor and his wife Terry of Taunton and sister-in-law Dawn Taylor of Bellingham.
She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Danyelle Torrey, Nick Goulette, Katie and Sammy Currie, Andrew, Nicholas and Jullianne Taylor and Kevin and Kyle Baxter. She was the aunt of the late Ryan Taylor.
Sharon was a resident of Franklin since 2005. She grew up in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College and her MBA from Babson College.
Sharon worked as an accountant for several area companies for many years.
A member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society, Sharon loved hiking, nature, bird watching and the outdoors. Her absolute favorite band was U2. She loved travelling, especially her family trips to Disney.
Her life was her family and Sharon cherished every moment spent with them.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, November 26 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com followed by a service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
Following services at the funeral home, there will be a reception at the Franklin Elks Club, 1077 Pond Street in Franklin from 2:30 - 6:30 p.m.
