GRANBY – Trudy E. (Beauchemin) Turcotte, 61, of Granby, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, November 20, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on August 30, 1961, a beloved daughter of the late Theophile and Margaret (McBlair) Beauchemin. She was raised in Granby, graduated from Granby High School, Class of 1978, and was a lifelong resident. She was employed as a Police Dispatcher for Amherst College Campus Police and a longtime Firefighter and EMT for the Town of Granby. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Granby. Most of all, she was a quiet woman who adored her husband and family. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, David A. Turcotte. They were married on June 1, 1985 at the Church of Christ in Granby and were blessed with over 37 years of happiness together. She also leaves her three loving children, Brady A. Turcotte and his wife, Mara, of Moncks Corner, SC, Joshua T. Turcotte and his partner, Stephanie Foley, of Granby and Elise D. Peters and her partner, Timothy Kilts, of Camden, NY; her nine cherished grandchildren; her four dear sisters, Lynn Dent of South Hadley, Jodi Morrione of Granby, Traci Beauchemin of Amherst and Jamie Jarvis of South Hadley; her two dear brothers-in-law, George “Rocky” Turcotte and William Turcotte, both of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her dear sister-in-law, Patricia Murphy who was Called Home on March 11, 2017; and her dear brother-in-law, Ronald Turcotte who was Called Home on September 9, 2005. Her family will receive friends at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home. Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ, 235 State Street, Granby, MA 01033, (please meet directly at the Church). Her burial will follow the service at West Cemetery, 90 West Street, Granby, MA 01033.
