Obituary



Worcester - Candace (Chalifoux) Morris, 71, of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in UMass Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.

Candy was born to Edward and Barbara (Barrett) Chalifoux in Worcester, MA and grew up in Boylston and Cape Cod. Candy graduated from Tahanto Regional High School in 1969 and shortly after began her own family, giving birth to her two sons Jason and Carter Morris, whom she loved with all of her heart. Candy’s favorite activity was any time spent with family, playing scrabble and with loved ones at the beach. Candy also loved animals, especially Magic, her beloved little dog.

Candy is survived by her two sons, Jason and Carter Morris, a brother Robert Chalifoux and sister-in-law Janice, a sister Therese Fullen and brother-in-law Michael, her grandchild, Meaghan McPherson, an aunt, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Candy was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Edward and John Chalifoux.

The family would like to thank the attentive and caring staff at Lutheran Rehabilitation and Care Center and Summit Eldercare of Grove Street.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 10 at 10 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 AM before the funeral.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Candy’s name to Abby’s House 52 High St, Worcester, MA 01609, which provides shelter, affordable housing, advocacy and assistance for women and mothers.
