Anne Marie (Ropert) Avedikian, 94, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Charles Avedikian, and they shared 50 years of marriage.
Mrs. Avedikian was born in Kerfourn, France daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (LeGuernic) Ropert and had resided in Worcester for 50 years before relocating to Westport. Prior to retirement, she worked as a registered nurse for UMass Medical Center, Worcester. She also taught French at the College of the Holy Cross.
Survivors include her son: Daniel Avedikian and his wife Colleen of Westport; her sister: Francine Jehanno of France; sister-in-law: Isabel Avedikian of Needham; her grandson: William C. Avedikian; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Avedikian family would like to express their deep gratitude to the wonderful Hospice & Palliative care team from the South Coast Visiting Nurses Association. In particular, they would like to thank Tiffany, Grace and Vanda for their loving care and concern for Anne Marie. Their dedication and kindness brought much comfort and peace to the whole family.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home at 4:00 P.M.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4 P.M., prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
