Kathleen Ann Melton (Saunier) passed away peacefully on November 19th, 2022, surrounded by her family just short of her 83rd birthday.
Kathleen was born in Denver Colorado. Kathleen graduated from Los Alamos High School 1958; started her nursing education at the School of Nursing School in Enid, OK at the Enid General Hospital 1958 – 1960, then transferred to Harden Simmons University in Abilene 1960 – 1963, graduating as a Registered Nurse. She continued her education at Oklahoma Baptist University in OK City where she took several theology classes. Throughout her life she lived in Denver CO; Abilene, Dallas and Paradise TX; Oklahoma City and Enid OK; Los Alamos, Espanola, Albuquerque, Hobbs and Grants NM; San Jose, CA and West Springfield MA. Since 2010 Kathleen has divided her time between her daughter in West Springfield MA and her son in Denver CO.
Kathleen is predeceased by her son Tim Melton and a brother Ken Saunier. She is survived and will be dearly missed by daughter Esther Husted and her husband Dave Husted, her son David Melton and his husband Dave Nygaard, 3 step children (Tana, Alecia and Teresa), brother Richard and his wife Gayle, granddaughter Rebecca and her husband RJ, grandson John, 3 step grandchildren (Alissa, Courtney and Colton), 3 great granddaughters (Lily, Isabelle and Penelope), 3 step great grandchildren along with many nephews, great nephews, great nieces and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Florida where her family will spread her ashes in the same location as her son Tim’s ashes were spread.
