Richard Boutin "Bum". Our(Amy Dupont and Nina Boutin G.)Dad. Shakti Desai's bonus dad. Pepiere "Pep" to his babies, his little buddy Anthony R, Aleja A, Alex A. and Naiya M. The babies were everything to him and he lived as long as he did, for them!
My dad died on November 11,2022 of a broken heart that started when Nina died on 3/13/22. Dad was Ninas "superman", and poor dad met his kryptonite when she died. If she only knew. Our dad was a super-duper Dad, Pep, Pal, friend, Brother. An Acre guy. Die hard hockey fan, Bruins Buff, kickass pool player. The guy from Paulines Variety who probably gave out more credit than he made back. Or the nice guy who worked at the Bedford V.A. keeping all his areas "lookin shahpp". He had friends all over the city and never had a bad word about anyone! He was a stand up guy who took care of our mother, Sharon until he could no longer care for himself.
He was proud to be from a family of siblings and their spouses who were all each others best friends. Roger and Pearl Boutin, Bob and Gloria(prev. Patricia),Pauline and Donald Harvey, who also became his parents when his own died, their 2 girls, Doreen Weber and Donna Lacey who ended up being his sisters and with them he had, the best days of his life. He loved life at Pauline and Dons, Eating all the lunchmeat and donuts with Paul Frechette. His sister Snookie and Paul Maille. His sister Jackie Koziol and her husband Cliff also helped him raise me and Nina. He loved seeing his niece and god daughter Vickie Maille, as shes a spitting image of her Mother Snookie. Kimmy, has always been an extention of Jackies love. Robin, thank you! And many other nieces and nephews.
The Boutin family was just a blessing to us girls and I am so honored to have been chosen by my Dad! He was also deeply loved by Sharons family, Richard P, Debbie J, Donna Y and several nieces & nephews. He believed in lifelong friendships. A couple of those friend are his best Pal, his son who wasnt his son, Darryll Shemchuk. Roger "Viv" Vivier, you were his brother, he loved playing pool with Viv! There was his cousin Paul Trudel, friends Bob Carroll, Bobby Arcand, Jerry L. (the bahhbah) among many more. Kenny Finn, thank you for coming to him when he asked, that meant alot! His special friend, Vanessa Glenn and her kids, thank you Whitney and Vanessa for visiting my dad. Vinny, the Pearl, Hostile, Croc, Beth, Andy were his V.A. crew and man did he laugh with them. Especially Vinny! He loved you dude! An honorable mention to his Demoulas girls(Market Basket Bridge St) Rachel B and Rene F., thank you for going above and beyond for my old man! Those ham egg n cheese would make his day when it was all he could tolerate!
