Robert Leroy Morgan, dedicated father, grandpa and family man, passed away suddenly on November 14, 2022 at his home in Anderson, IN. He was 84.
Known by most as Leroy, the Anderson native and Anderson High School graduate served in the U.S. Army with distinction from 1957 to 1959. He worked at auto-parts manufacturer Delco Remy International, Inc. for 36 years, retiring in 1993.
Leroy loved bird watching, photography, sports and cooking. He was famous for his fudge, carmel corn, and party mix during the holidays. He was generous to all who knew him, and often said one of his greatest joys was being a father and grandfather.
Survivors include daughter, Leisa Richardson of Springfield, IL; sons, Robert A. (Judy) Morgan and Jeffrey A. Morgan, both of Indianapolis; siblings, Marvin (Annabelle) Morgan of Noblesville, Lucille Bailey, Frank Morgan, Greg Morgan and Harry Morgan, all of Anderson and David Morgan of Oakland, Calif.; two grandsons and seven great-grandchildren. Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Sondra, his parents, Jerry and Ella Mae Morgan; and five siblings.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson, IN 46012. A memorial service will begin at 2:30 p.m. followed by burial at Pleasant Walk Cemetery, 4719 Madison Ave., Anderson, IN 46013
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Leroy’s memory to the Indiana Audubon Society and the American Cancer Society.
