Nancy M. DeFreitas, a lifelong resident of Woburn passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the age of 77. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo M. DeFreitas. Born in Woburn she was the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Altavesta) Cierri.
Nancy was a 1963 graduate of Woburn High School. Following high school, Nancy worked for many years as an administrative assistant in the Insurance Industry. and later worked for several years as an administrative Assistant at Wild Acres Inns of Arlington prior to her retirement. Throughout her life, Nancy enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time at the beach. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who she treated like her own children. She will be greatly missed.
Nancy is survived by her brother, Michael Cierri of Ohio. She was the loving aunt of Michelle Daaboul and her husband Jeffry of Lowell and their children, Shawna Tibbets and her husband Justin, Jeanette Daaboul, and Jeffry Daaboul, Jr. Loving great aunt of Ava and Joseph Tibbets. She is further survived by many loving cousins and extended family members.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Friday, November 18th, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
