John M. Machado, 77, of Londonderry, NH passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH after a period of declining health. John was born March 27, 1945 in New Bedford, MA, a son of the late Manuel and Mary (Carvalho) Machado. John served his country in the US Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He spent most of his working career in the printed circuit board industry, spanning nearly 25 years in management at Hadco/Sanmina Corp. in Derry, NH. He later worked for Tecomet until his retirement in September of 2021.
Members of the family include his daughter Stefanie Ann (Machado) Smith and her husband Robert Smith of Londonderry; one grandson, Taylor John Smith of Londonderry; two step-grandchildren, Jeffrey Pepe of Hudson, NH, and Jordyn (Smith) Curcio of N. Andover, MA; his sister, Lorraine (Machado) Austin of Eureka, SD; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 37 years, Veronica (Young) Machado in 2006, and his sister, June (Machado) Amaral.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 18th from 4:30 - 7:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00am in the funeral home. The burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Rd., Londonderry.
