Catherine A. "Cathy" (Kane) Judge, a 25 year resident of Everett and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 73 years of age.
Cathy was born in Boston on August 4, 1949, a daughter of the late Martin F. Kane and Helen M. (Keefe) Kane. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1967. Cathy worked as a Waitress most of her adult life where she began at Connolly's Diner on Main Street in Charlestown and then at The Mount Vernon Restaurant in Somervile for over 20 years. Cathy was an avid swimmer in her days of growing up in Charlestown and received many awards competing at the Bunker Hill Pool. In her spare time, Cathy enjoyed knitting and crocheting and visiting the Golden Age Center in Charlestown to play bingo alongside her Mom.
Cathy is the beloved wife of 13 years to Bruce M. Judge. She is the devoted mother of Tommy Hickey, Shawn Hickey, Kathleen Mahan and fiancé Frankie Lang and the late Kelly Hickey. She is the loving Nana to Michael, Marty, Katlyn, Matthew and her several great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Geraldine Fasy, Dennis Kane and his wife Joan, Jimmy Kane, the late Thomas Pynn and his surviving wife Helen and the late Martin F. Kane Jr. and his surviving wife Debbie. She is also survived by her many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Cathy's Funeral on Thursday morning, November 17, 2022 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will take place at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. Her visiting hours will be on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 3 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
