My teta Roza Youssef was the most compassionate and admirable person anyonecould have ever met, If youwere one to have received her love, consider
Yourself lucky. Her laugh was contagious and her words brought people together. Our grandma put God and her fsmily at the center of everything and she used family as her everyday motivation. To say that she went through a lot is an understatement but with all the battles she had, she faced them each with grace and poise. Tetas Roza’s house was always filled with company and you could tell when there would be people arriving because of the aroma of her meals filled the air. She would constantly offer her food as a sign of her love and there was no other option but to accept. To many people passing by her house,, you would think there was a party going on but in reality it was just her kids and grandchildren filling the drive way. Her faith was an inspiration to many. She quoted the Lord daily and would remind us that no matter what, if we had enough trust everything would be ok.After we lost our grandpa George, Teta Roza made her responsibility to keep the family close. She would always say “ you guys are brothers and sisters, not only now but forever”. I am so grateful that we were able to experience the love she was able to give. To eat the food that she loved to make. To learn from her experiences and hold her lessons so close to our hearts. Teta, may you now rest in eternal peace, reunited with your love, Dedo George. We gained another guardian angel to watch over us and with that we all will make sure to make you proud. We love you Teta Roza.
