LIMINGTON- Lee Eric Cousins, 63 of Limington, ME passed away unexpectedly on Nov 9, 2022. Lee was born in Portland and attended school in South Portland until his family moved to Gorham when Lee was in the sixth grade. He graduated from Gorham High School in 1978. Lee worked at Shaw Brothers, BIW and Johnson and Jordan. He also owned and operated Lee’s Landscaping and Cousins and Sons Excavation.
Lee married Linda Kimball Cousins on Sept 9, 2017.
Lee is survived by his wife Linda, children Sarah Leigh Cousins Weeks, her husband Steven, John David Doucette, his wife Jessica, Robert Charles Doucette, Andrew Lee Cousins and his wife Lisa. Grandchildren Quinn, Aiden and Cullen Weeks, Jenna, Jamie and Jaylynn Doucette, Deseray Doucette, Alex Sprague, Blake, Jayden and Colbey Cousins. Brother Donald Cousins, sisters LuAnn Morrell, his twin sister Gail and her husband Steven Clement, Ruth and her husband Edward Kennie. Many nieces, nephews and extended family. Lee was a great man and a huge influence in many lives. He taught so much to so many.
As a child in South Portland, Lee played baseball, fished in the ocean bay and helped plumbing with his dad since he was 10 years old. Lee loved fishing year-round, the Horne Pond Derby, Salmon fishing in Pulaski, NY and restoring antique cars. Lee was a commercial plumber, a builder, problem solver, fabricator, artist and gifted welder. His hunting accomplishments included an 8-point buck and a 900-pound bull moose. He was a Jack of all Trades and Master of Many.
Lee and Linda enjoyed many side by side trips exploring the trails of our grand state of Maine. We are all very thankful to have had him in our lives. He will forever be loved and missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday Nov. 19 from 2 - 4 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., in Cornish. At 4 PM there will be a time for everyone to share stories of Lee to celebrate his life.
