Esther Irene Rose, age 83 of Englewood, FL formerly of Bridgewater, beloved wife and mother passed peacefully in her sleep on October 23, 2022 after being evacuated before Hurricane Ian to Naples, FL.
Born July 1939 in Brockton, she was the daughter of Lawrence Sargent and Marjorie (Parmenter) Godsoe of Rockland.
In 1954 she married the love of her life, Joseph "Junior" Rose Jr of Bridgewater and together they had 4 sons - Michael, Kevin, Joseph and Daren.
After the unexpected passing of her young husband in 1978, Joseph "Junior," she raised her 4 sons at the Hale Street homestead in Bridgewater and made a promise to Joe that all 4 sons would graduate from high school. That promise was fulfilled with each son graduating. Kevin obtained a college degree in Culinary Cooking and Daren founded his own Trucking Company. Esther was very proud of each son's accomplishments.
Esther was a hardworking woman who met life head on working first as a homemaker then at Components Manufacturing in West Bridgewater to then in the Cafeteria at Bridgewater State College before breaking her back and becoming a self-employed clothing demonstrator for Dutchmaid Clothing. She also worked for a time at Goodman Knitting located in Brockton. Esther loved Disney and would make many memories on trips with family to the “Greatest Place On Earth.” She also loved going to the casino as well as many cruise trips with friends and family. Esther was known for her delicious homemade cupcakes with mouthwatering frosting that turned into a side business to support her boys.
Survived by her son Daren Rose and his wife Victoria (Palch-Ryan) of Englewood, FL. Special aunt to Kimberly Goulet of Maine. Also survived by a distant grandson and great-grandson and a lifelong friendship of over 70 years with Joan Heffernan of East Bridgewater as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Marjorie, her husband Joseph "Junior", her sons Michael, Kevin and Joseph, all of Bridgewater, and 2 her brothers Lawrence "Larry" Sargent and Robert "Bob" Sargent both of Florida.

Burial will take place on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 12:30 at the Pin Hill Cemetery in Bridgewater, MA.
