Family Matriarch, Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother

Ricardina Conceicao, 92, of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at her daughter’s home, with her family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late Francisco Conceicao who passed away in 2017 after 67 years of marriage.

A daughter of the late Jaime and Maria Hortense (da Silva) Luis, she was born in Faial, Azores and raised and educated there.

She was a housewife in Fatal, Azores. She came to the United States in 1959.

She made her home in the Back Central Street neighborhood, she was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and a member of the Holy Ghost Society.

Prior to her retirement, she worked at Lowell Dress for 16 years and Wang Labs for 10 years.

Her favorite past time was helping folks in need, sewing, cooking, playing the guitar and most importantly being devoted to her family. She was a kindhearted woman and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Frank Conceicao and his wife Audrey of Windham, NH, Joseph Conceicao and his wife Marion of Nashua, NH, Maria (Mary) Cordeiro and her husband Gabriel of Lowell, Tony Conceicao and his wife Sidonia of Dracut.

Her twelve grandchildren, Eric Conceicao, Adam Conceicao, Jessica Cordeiro, Steven Cordeiro, Ryan Conceicao, Olivia Frederick, Brandon Conceicao, Alexandra Conceicao, Natalia Conceicao, Daniel Conceicao, Sarah Conceicao and Alexa Conceicao. Four great-grandchildren Ava Conceicao, Lea Conceicao, Ainsley Conceicao and Denzer Conceicao; her brother Jaime Luis of Tewksbury, and her sisters Eugenia DaSilva of Lowell and Zeta Duarte of New Orleans. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Manuel Luis, Jose Luis, Maria Mello, Isabel Neves and Julieta Gameiro.

On Friday, November 11, 2022 all are welcome to attend her calling hours from 4-8 p.m. at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 978-458-6816.

On Saturday morning her funeral will begin at the funeral home at 10:30. Her Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 893 Central Street, Lowell. A procession will follow for burial at St. Patrick Cemetery.
