Thomas E. Carmody, 88, husband of Janice Carmody of Ventura, passed away Tuesday November 1, 2022 at home with family.
Born September 30, 1934, in Saint Maries Idaho, he was the son of the late Maurice and Adelaide Carmody of Anchorage Alaska. Tom grew up in Alaska and later attended the University of Washington receiving his teaching credential, then attending the University of Southern California “USC” receiving his Masters of Education. Tom moved to Ventura in 1963 working for the Ventura Unified School District for over 35 years as a teacher and a school principal. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed collecting antiques, spending time outdoors and with his family.
Tom is survived by his wife Janice of Ventura, CA, son Michael of Martinez, CA, Timothy and his wife Cynthia of Camarillo, CA, Todd of Discovery Bay, CA, daughter Christine and her husband Leonard of Munds Park, AZ and his granddaughter Sarah and her husband John of Mission Viejo, CA.
There will not be public services, Tom wanted services to be private.
