Obituary

Edward F. Correa, 91, of Lowell, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 7, 2022, at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved widower of the late Muriel A. (Small) Correa, who died in 2002 after nearly forty years of Marriage.

A son of the late Manuel P. Correa and the late Mary (Picanso) Correa, he was born June 20, 1931, in Lowell, and was raised and educated in the City, graduating from Lowell High School with the class of 1949.

Mr. Correa worked for the Lowell Police Department for a few years in his younger days before his transfer to the Lowell Fire Department, where he served for over thirty years with the Lowell Fire Department prior to his retirement in 1992.

He made his lifelong home in Lowell, his family was his life and he loved spending time with his children and his grandchildren. He loved sports and for many years coached Little League for the Highlands Little League. He was a great fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees, and loved traveling with his wife, especially to Las Vegas.

His survivors include his three sons, E. Michael Correa and his wife, Pam, of Nashua, David Correa and his wife, Kiley, of Lowell, and Karl Correa of Lowell; his grand daughter, Lexie Rae Correa of Nashua, NH; his grand son, Michael Correa of Nashua, Nh; as well as several nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends he made throughout the City.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Georgia M. Visocchi, Daniel Correa Sr., and Anthony R. Correa.

You are invited to his visitation on Thursday from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at the MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.

His Funeral Mass will be offered at 12 Noon at ST. ANTHONY CHURCH, 893 Central St., Lowell. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
