Obituary


Marie Parziale, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, and a former longtime resident of Woburn, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the age of 85. Marie was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Parziale. Born in Boston she was one of eleven children of the late William and Mary (DePaolo) DeCologero.

Marie has been a resident of Florida for over thirty years. She was raised in Somerville where she was a graduate of Somerville High School. A devoted wife, mother, and adored grandmother, she cherished spending time with her family and nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by those she loved. She will be greatly missed.

She was the devoted mother of Salvatore Parziale and his wife Susan of Sarasota, FL, Diane Salvia of Tampa, FL, William Parziale of Salem NH, Robert Parziale of Ohio and his late wife Holly, and the late Joseph Parziale. Loving and adored grandmother of the late Tony Salvia and further survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Cherished sister of Jeanette McCoy of Sandwich, the late John and Robert DeCologero, Connie Gaynor, Phyllis Pesce, Josie Nowicki, Gloria Skutel, William, Paul, and Anthony DeCologero.

Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Thursday, November 10th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
