Ruby Elizabeth (Hughes) Lowe, 89, died November 4, 2022 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born November 5, 1932 in Anderson, the daughter of John C. and Sally (Elmore) Hughes.
She worked production at Delco Remy Division of General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 1985. She attended Elm Grove Church of Christ.
She is survived by her four children, Sally Jo Faulkenberg of Pendleton, Jacque K. (Paul) Saumier of Florida, Dixie Anne (Tim) Davis of Owensboro, Kentucky and Amy (Mike) Hughes of Chesterfield; six grandchildren, Sarah Black, Cody Smith, Travis Smith, Spencer Smith, Taylor Hughes and Trevor Hughes; three siblings, Doris (Tony) Moss of Anderson; Patty (Don) Pitts, and John (Mary) Hughes of Chesterfield; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Andy Cox.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark of Chesterfield Christian Church officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m.
