Ricardo "Ricky" Henderson Lashley passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022 after a battle with pneumonia and early onset Alzheimer's at the age of 63.
Ricky was born on July 15, 1959 in Barbados to Eugene Stewart and Velda Lashley. As a teenager, Ricky was part of the military in Barbados before immigrating to the United States.
Ricky was quiet a social guy and you could always find him at the cricket fields when the weather was nice. He enjoyed conversing with mostly Bajans, sometimes Jamaicans, and would always be around to have a good time. Not quite the life of the party, he was someone you wanted at the party due to his big smile and ability to attract many people. Ricky was also passionate about hos children Kameel and Janiesa in his own way. He loved them and would never shy away from kissing each of them despite how old they grew.
Anyone who knew Ricky knew he was a pretty simple guy. He didn't need much to go about his day, nor asked for many favors. He is survived by his children, Kameel Lashley and Janeisa Lashley, his grandchildren Musa Mkhatshwa, Mecca Mkhatshwa, and Elijah Lashley. Also survived by his sister Jackie Lashley and his nephews.
