Natalie Anne Derocher of Brockton died Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center. She was the former wife for 30 years of Edward Adamaitis and the late Richard Derocher for 20 years.
Natalie was born August 2, 1927 in Salem, MA, the only child of Catherine and John Shea. At the age of 12 she moved to Brockton where she was a 1944 graduate of Brockton High School. She was chosen cover girl of the year book.
Natalie enjoyed working with the public as a receptionist for Packard Shoe and Knapp Brothers Shoe. In later years she enjoyed working as a bridal consultant in Boston and Brockton and as a hostess in restaurants in Brockton and Rockland.
Natalie was an avid golfer at Thorny Lea for 35 years and was proud of her putting skills. She was very active in St. Edwards Church where she was a president of the church’s Women’s Club and PTA. Most importantly, Natalie was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Natalie is survived by her four children Ronald Adamaitis and his wife Donna Perry of Naples, FL; Joy Barnes and her husband Robert of Myrtle Beach, SC; Gayl Doherty and her fiancé Todd Kovatis of Julian, NC and Brian Adamaitis, in addition to 6 grandchildren: Justin Doherty and his partner Desiree, Shaun and Amanda Doherty, Rachele and Nikolas Perry, Robert and Anna Barnes, Christopher Adamaitis and Amy and Shawn Gartner and 9 great grandchildren and many friends.
A funeral Mass for Natalie will be celebrated on Friday Nov. 18, 2022 at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St. Brockton. Burial will be private.
