LEICESTER: Chester V. Shea, IV, 39, passed away after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family, on
Monday, Oct. 31st. at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
He leaves his parents, Chester V. Shea, III and Leann R. (Gardner) Shea of Leicester, his sister; Jennifer
Lee Shea of Auburn, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and very dear friends.
Chester was born in Lynn, MA., and grew up in Thompson, CT and Leicester, MA. He graduated from St.
John's High School in Shrewsbury in 2001 and went on to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree from New
England College in Henniker, NH. in 2005 where he was a member of the hockey team. He moved to Texas
after graduation where he worked for the Rio Grande Killer Bees hockey team and then on to New York
with the Albany River Rats. His love of family brought him back to Massachusetts where he worked,
played golf, and hunted. Chester was happiest when around people, as he loved meeting, getting to
know, and socializing with old and new friends alike.
He was a member of the Auburn Sportsman's Club and loved the outdoors. He was also an avid golfer,
and member of Pine Ridge Country Club.
Chester’s love of people helped him succeed in the world of sales, most recently with Home Depot in
Auburn.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Nov. 7th. at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester
(friends attending are asked to go directly to the Church). Calling hours at the MORIN FUNERAL HOME,
1131 Main St., Leicester are Sunday, Nov. 6th. from 3 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the
convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to National Park
