Shirle Ann Fauvre of Ojai, California, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on October 21, 2022 at her home. Shirle was born in Coronado to Sally and Ted Fessenden on November 30, 1945, the youngest of two sisters. She attended high school at Pasadena High, then attended UCLA where she received a Master’s in Education. She went on to teach elementary school in La Cañada. She moved with her family to Ojai in 1975, where she explored trails and backroads by horse. She enjoyed hiking, gardening, travel, and caring for animals. She was essential in community efforts promoting physical fitness for all ages, and served as office manager in her husband’s medical practice for many years. She was a devoted wife and mother. Shirle is survived by her husband of 54 years Dr. Fred Fauvre, their daughters Renee Halbrook and Ashle Fauvre, and grandchildren Lucas and Zooey Halbrook. She is preceded in death by her son Teddy (1986), sister Joan (2003), mother Sally (2005) and father Ted (1986). She loved to laugh, found joy in wonder, and practiced generosity of spirit throughout her life, for which she will be dearly remembered.
