Mr. Fernand A. Blanchet, 86, of Methuen, passed away on October 27, 2022, at the Holy Family Hospital under the care of Merrimack Valley Hospices. Born in Canada he has lived in the Merrimack Valley for the past 60 years. Mr. Blanchet was a member of the Elks Lodge BPOE 65, the Knights of Columbus council 67 and worked in a variety of settings including working for the town and the school system in Lawrence. His favorite job was when he worked for Raytheon. Mr. Blanchet also had a love for all things gardening. He is the widower of Amoza (Beaulieu) Blanchet and was also pre-deceased by his sister Marielle and brothers Eudore and Simon. Mr. Blanchet is survived by three sisters: Marguerite Jacques of Canada, Imelda and her husband Christian Belzile of Lawrence, MA., and Francine and her husband Pierre Lamy of Canada. He is also survived by Four Brothers: Lionel Blanchet and his wife Gisele of Methuen, MA, David Blanchet and his wife Jeanine of Canada, Alonzo Blanchet and his wife Denise of Florida, and Ghislain Blanchet and his wife Lise of Canada, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, November 05, 2022 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth St. Methuen MA.
