Michelle Rowell, 36, of Plymouth and Roslindale, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Michelle was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Maureen Sweeney Rowell of Plymouth. She is survived by her adoring father, Michael Rowell and his partner, Cheryle Clemente of Brighton, her sister, Lisa Kuykendall of Stoneham, her grandmother Dolores Sweeney of Roslindale, her mother's companion Larry Parsons of Plymouth, many aunts and uncles: Connie and Kevin Miller of Brockton, Barbara and David Gray of Roslindale, Billy Sweeney of Dedham, Bobby and Suzanne Stuke of Roslindale; John and Lorraine Rowell of West Roxbury; Ellen Hann of Florida; the late Joanne Greenwell of Roslindale, and the late Peggy and Frank Dolan of Weymouth. Michelle also leaves behind many cousins: Mark and Gloria Gunning of Roslindale and New York; Steven and Nancy Gunning of Norwood; Madison Miller of Brockton; Jacqueline and Tommy Timmins of Walpole; Brian Rowell of Roslindale; Timmy Greenwell of Roslindale; Johnny and Lori Greenwell of Roslindale; Samantha and Parker Wattson of Texas; Robert and Megan Stuke of Raynham; Adam Stuke and Danielle Mason of Melrose; Matt and Jen Dolan of Middleboro; Mike and Kerrie Dolan of Whitman; Peggy Bellardino of Florida; Maureen Bellardino of Florida; Jack and Tanya Bellardino of Georgia; and Edward and Lisa Bellardino of Middleboro. Michelle is also preceded in death by her dear friend Ken Snyder.
Michelle was born to Michael and Maureen Rowell in 1986 and grew up in the Manomet section of Plymouth. Growing up, Michelle was an accomplished horseback rider, winning many ribbons at riding competitions. Michelle graduated from Plymouth South High School in 2004 and went on to study cosmetology. After graduating, she worked in several different salons as a stylist and built a loyal clientele. Later, she worked with her mother at Glidecam, a camera stabilization company and even did a few modeling stints for them showcasing some of their wearable gear.
Michelle had a sweet soul and a free and artistic spirit. She loved painting, making festive holiday wreaths and creating beautiful garden landscapes at the family’s beloved cottage in Manomet. She was a lover of all animals and had recently been volunteering at a farm. By far her favorite companion was her cherished dog Buddy whom she adopted more than 10 years ago. She loved taking him on walks at the beach, car rides, and giving him far too many treats.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022 in St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 803 State Road, Plymouth. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with the family in the church from 10:00 to 11:00. Interment will follow in Vine Hills Cemetery.
Michelle will be missed by many for her soft, quiet, kindness and always seeing and trusting in the good in people.
