Handrahan, Joseph S., 44 of Yarmouth MA, passed unexpectedly on October 21st.
“Joey” as he was known is survived by his mother Cindy Pratt and her husband Peter, sister Hollie Handrahan and partner Joe, brother Vinnie Handrahan and his wife Stephanie. He was Uncle Joey to Sean, Tara, Isaiah, Avery and Emma.
Joey was born in Alberton Prince Edward Island Canada. In 1990 the family moved to Cape Cod.
He was a graduate of Cape Cod Tech in Harwich. While in high school he excelled in carpentry. After graduation he started working in the Hearth n' Kettle restaurants in the mid 90s. This was where Joey found his true passion. He was a confident Chef who worked for the next 19 years in all of their restaurant locations. He was always willing to assist wherever needed.
Joey never turned down an invite to have a drink at Buds or hang at Tiki Port. He loved his friends, and especially his family. Everyone who was lucky enough to have known him will attest to his sense of humor.
After he decided to move out of the kitchen, Joey worked most recently with Oceanside Pools. He embraced the change of pace as he embarked on a second career.
It was rare that Joey would not be wearing a hoodie and a ball cap. That was just his style.
