Annie “Mary” (DiSario) Caruso passed away on October 21,2022 at the age of 90. She was born in Malden, Massachusetts and was a lifelong resident. She worked in retail but, her pride position was when she got her GED and earned a CNA license. She worked in the Malden Hospital Emergency Department. However, she would tell us her family was her greatest accomplishment.
Annie was a devoted wife to Rudy Caruso who passed in 2011. She was the beloved mother of Donna D’Alessandro of Salem Ma.; Corinne Riley and husband Dan of Nashua, NH.; Rudy Caruso and wife Sheryl of Haverhill,Ma.; John Caruso of Plaistow NH.; and Julie George and Lena Ciamarra Caruso.
Annie was the dear sister of the late Margaret Della Piana and Aunt to cherished niece Diane Cataldo as they grew up together like sisters; and two late brothers Phillip and Thomas Di Sario.
Annie is the cherished grandmother of Nicole D’Alessandro. Gina Saccoccio and husband Ernesto. Danielle Hatch and husband Matt, Kristen Lavoie and husband Nick, Michael Caruso. Anthony Caruso and fiancée Sami Lattarulo, Kertrina Caruso. Cynthia Caruso, Kaitlynn Caruso, Kloie Caruso, Gabriella Caruso and Joseph Caruso. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren. Valentina, Keagan, Caydence, Braylin, Rilynn, Declan, Lilianna and Isabella.
Funeral service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday November 11th at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 9:00am-11:00am prior to the service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Entombment will be in the family mausoleum at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
