WELLS- Donna Karacius, 70, went to meet her savior October 20, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Donna was born March 20th, 1952, to Reginald and Dorothy Aldrich.
With her magnetic personality she made friends quickly and kept many friendships from childhood throughout her lifetime.
She was hands on, organized, and creative. She was a quick learner and sewed extensively, even making her own clothing for years! She handcrafted blankets for newborns, cooked, baked and was a fantastic homemaker.
In the mid 1970’s Donna started taking painting classes and what started out as a hobby turned into something beautiful. Donna went on to eventually teach her own classes, run an art department, paint murals in several homes and sold and gifted her artwork for decades to the delight of all recipients.
Donna grew up by the ocean and it was always a favorite destination spot for vacations and day trips. It was her dream to live near the ocean and that was fulfilled in moving to Wells. Her artwork was often reminiscent of her fondness of the beach life and her beach landscapes are incredible.
Donna was an active member of Messiah Christian Church where she enjoyed growing in faith and fostered many new friendships.
Donna leaves a piece of her heart with Noel Charpentier of Douglas, Daughter Tracey Converse of Whitinsville, Son David K. Karacius and Daughter Reagan & husband Tim Burrows. Donna also leaves: Sisters Sharon Aldrich of Maine, and Leaann Durkin of Connecticut, and Brother Albert Aldrich of Vermont.
Grandchildren: Dakota, Zebulon, Isaac, Mina, Mikayla, Reyna, Noah, Carly, and Liam. Great Grandchildren: Kaleb, Christopher due November/December, and baby bump Converse due in June.
Donna also leaves her adorable furry partner in crime, Riley. (Aka Lanex)
