Denise Shockency, 64, of Anderson, IN, died peacefully October 22, 2022 following an extended illness and was surrounded by family.
She was born March 11, 1958, in Anderson, IN, and graduated from Anderson High School. She worked at JCPenney, Anderson for more than 15 years. She went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at St. Vincent, Bennet Rehab, Anderson for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Keisha Underwood of Avon, IN and son, Darick Underwood of Anderson; grandson, Dayton Underwood (Adry); great grandson ZáKia Underwood; granddaughter, Lexi Underwood; sister, Patricia Underwood, niece, Twyla Underwood (Greg, Greg Jr. and Grayson); nephew, William Underwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Shockency; parents, Leonard and Twila Underwood; aunt, Clarice Newsom; sister, Barbara Underwood; sister, Carolyn Wilson; nephew, Leonard Underwood.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 11AM until 2PM at Rozelle- Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson.
