CHICOPEE – Joan D. (LeBeau) Yvon, 84, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, October 22, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at Heritage Hall West in Agawam surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born at home on McKinstry Avenue in the Aldenville section of Chicopee on August 24, 1938, a beloved daughter of the late Ovila J. and Elina (Fortin) LeBeau. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Holy Name High School in Chicopee and had moved to Fairview in the 1940’s where she lived the remainder of her life. She was employed as Data Entry Operator for the Wall Street Journal in Chicopee. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Fairview. A loving wife and mother, she was a wonderful caregiver to her children, grandchildren, family members and friends. She will truly be missed. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rene J. Yvon who was Called Home on May 16, 1989. She leaves her six loving children, Larry Yvon of Ludlow, Wayne Yvon and Susan of Bath, NH, Gregg Yvon and Karen of Blandford, Laurie Gaudet and Mark of Sturbridge, Thomas Yvon and Bianca of Somers, CT and Steven Yvon and Elizabeth of West Whately; her ten cherished grandchildren; her dear sister, Claire Yucka of Kissimmee, FL; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her dear brother, Aime LeBeau and his wife, Dorothy; and her two dear sisters, Edna Dombeck and her husband, Leo, and Doris Cusson and her husband, Henry. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
