Francis Morgan, of Boston, Mass. died on September 19, 2022, at the age of 61. Francis was a true son of South Boston, with many family members and friends who will miss him. Francis served in the Armed Forces for a short time, and most recently was very proud to have started his own painting company. At the time of his death, he was battling several health issues, but he refused to let it slow him down. In June of 2021 Francis joined Alcoholics Anonymous in downtown Boston and spent the last months of his life in active recovery. He touched many people in several towns while he was on this journey, and we are grateful to have known him as he attempted to become a better man. It is no secret how much Francis loved our local sports teams, and he literally wore his love for them on his sleeves and other places! Francis loved to fish, another of his lifelong passions, and per his wishes he will be returned to the water following his memorial service. Those of us who knew him these last months are grateful he came into our lives. We would like to thank the incredible caregivers, specifically Dr. Allison Goldberg, at South Huntington Primary Care for their tireless work in helping Francis when he was sick. Rest in Peace Francis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - Mission Church 1545 Tremont St. Roxbury on Thursday October 27, 2022, at 10 am.
