Leicester- Barbara A. Andrzejczyk, 60, of Leicester, died Wednesday, August 7, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, after an illness.
She leaves her mother, Sophie S. (Kowalewski) Adrzejczyk; a sister, Elaine M. Andrzejczyk, both of Leicester. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Stanley Andrzejczyk and lived in Worcester many years before moving to Leicester.
Miss Andrzejczyk graduated from St. Marys High School and Worcester State College, both in Worcester. She attended the University of Gainesville.
Miss Andrzejczyk was a teacher in the Worcester Public Schools, retiring many years ago, due to illness.
She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Parish. She was a former member of the National Education Association and the Massachusetts Teachers Association.
The funeral will be held Friday, August 9, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward Street, Worcester, with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Worcester. A calling hour will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, in the funeral home.
