WORCESTER___James A. Roslund, 65, of Worcester passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday October 16, 2022 in St. Vincent Hospital.
He leaves his wife of 42 years, Mary A. (Tierney) Roslund, his son, Bill Roslund and his wife Meghan Roslund, his daughter, Kathleen Pierce and her husband William Pierce, two grandchildren, twins, Savannah Pierce and Andi Pierce, a sister, Linda Strader, his beloved furry friend “Ernie” and aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Brothers, Harry Roslund, Jr., Michael Roslund and Jeffrey Roslund. He was born in Worcester, a son of the late Harold Roslund, Sr, and Marie Roslund and has lived here all of his life. He graduated from North High School and earned his Associate’s Degree in Business.
Mr. Roslund was an assistant supervisor for Future Electronics and prior to that was a cook many years for St. Vincent Hospital. He had also worked in Landscaping. James loved spending time with his family and being a “Papa”. He enjoyed television and movies especially westerns including Gunsmoke and also the Family Feud and Yellowstone. He also liked to go fishing.
He will be missed very much by his family and friends.
The Calling hours for James will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, Ma 01606.
