Mr. Mark J. Walker, a resident of North Andover, passed away at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen on Monday morning, October 17, 2022. He was 69 years old.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on January 2, 1953, he was the beloved son of the late Harold A. “Mickey” and Eleanor T. “Tedda” (Whalen) Walker. Mr. Walker was a graduate of Northeastern University, class of 1998. He was employed as a Handicapped Specialist at Northeast Independent Living Program in Lawrence. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching all of the Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox. He also loved music and collecting baseball cards. He will be dearly missed.
Mark is survived by his loving siblings; Denise and her husband Ronald K. Estell of Pelham, New Hampshire, Joanne A. and her husband James D. McLellan of Burke, Virginia and David Walker of Andover, nieces and nephews; Lyle, Jennifer, Bethany and James and his companion and her granddaughter; Loretta Andrade and Alonah Fields.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Chapel at West Parish Garden Cemetery, 129 Reservation Road, Andover on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the chapel, prior to the service, from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover. Donations in Mark’s memory may be made to the Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital, 3 Randolph Street, Canton MA 02021. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Andover.
